Day 13 - San Antonio to Junction, Texas

This morning started with a quick trip around Houston on our way to beautiful historic San Antonio.  We hit the high points of the city knowing that we wanted to get to our hotel in time to catch the Super Bowl.  Our first glimpses of the city were of San Fernando Church where we caught a bit of the Spanish Mass.
This is where the remains of the heroes of the Alamo are buried.

Much of the afternoon was spent strolling around the River Walk.

From the River Walk we went to Market Square where we got to watch some traditional Mexican dances, hear some Mexican songs and eat Tex-Mex food. With all of the Spanish influence in San Antonio I was in heaven.

With a quick trip past the Alamo we were off so that we could catch the Super Bowl.  We drove a couple of hours, of course making good time since the speed limit in Texas is 80 in some spots.  Don't worry we don't go that fast.  We ended up in Junction, Texas - wherever that is.  The terrain seems to be changing and we are heading for Carlsbad, New Mexico to see the caves tomorrow.

Now it's time to get back to the second half of the Super Bowl. Bye for now - more tomorrow!
