Day 12 - Panama City Beach to near Houston

Not much new today.  It was a travel day!  We have now covered  2400 miles, over 500 today, crossing through Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana and ending in Texas.  That makes 11 states so far. We crossed the Mississippi River and have gone over countless bridges and even through a tunnel today. (And you know how much I love bridges and tunnels.) We decided that we needed to try some Cajun cuisine before heading further west so we stopped along the way and gave it a try.  We had some seafood gumbo and a seafood platter with frog legs, oysters, crayfish, shrimp, deviled crab and catfish. It was quite an experience.  

Had we known though we could have gone for what seemed to be a favorite of the locals.  (Or maybe not!)

San Antonio is next on the agenda along with watching the Super Bowl.  Enjoy the game.
